Iphone: create your own ringtones

Tool/Software you need to have on your Mac:

1. Garage Band

2. iTunes

3. iPhone + cable to connect iPhone to Macbook

Here are the steps:-

1. Open Garage Band. Select the iPhone Ringtone (bell icon), then select the Example Ringtone, and you need to save you file first as image below;

The name you save will be the ringtone name

Click create

2. It will open to you the Garage Band, and you might want to delete the jingles tones (the one in the red box). Just click then hit the Command + Delete button.

3. Click the button on the bottom right ( as pic below - left), choose iTunes, then select the song that you wanted to make as a ringtones and drag it to the left (as pic below - right)

4. Next, choose your time frame for the ringtone (should be within 30 seconds) by drag the yellow line. You can preview & listen to the time frame you choose by play it.

5. Once you're happy with the ringtone, then save it to iTunes by clicking Share>Send Ringtones to iTunes. The ringtones will automatically transfered to your iTunes under LIBRARY > ringtones tab.

6. Plug in your iPhone, sync it with iTunes. You'll find your new ringtones in your sound menu in your iPhone.
